RANDOLPH COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
Thursday, December 5, 2013
The Honorable Commission convened at the Huntsville Courthouse with the following present: Wayne Wilcox, Eastern District Commissioner; Jerry Crutchfield, Western District Commissioner and Shelby Creed, Deputy Clerk.
9:00 a.m. In the absence of Com.Carter, Com. Crutchfield acted as the Presiding Commissioner. Com. Crutchfield called the meeting to order and moved approval of the agenda. Com. Wilcox seconded and motion passed (2-0).
Interim Road and Bridge Supervisor Dale Herron arrived to discuss road maintenance issues. Also discussed was a letter received from a resident on CR 2796 advising the Commission of a special event at their residence.
Com. Crutchfield and Com. Wilcox reported on their attendance at a Clean Line Energy informational meeting in Moberly Tuesday evening.
10:00 a.m. Commissioners returned a call to Mike Truesdell to discuss the MODOT proposed J-Turns at the Hwy 63/Hwy B/Hwy P intersection.
Commissioners returned a call to John Truesdell to discuss the MODOT proposed J-Turns at the Hwy 63/Hwy B/Hwy P intersection.
Commissioners reviewed minutes from November 26, 2013. Following review, Com. Wilcox made a motion to approve these minutes. Com. Crutchfield seconded and motion passed (2-0).
Com. Wilcox contacted Assistant District Engineer Brian Haeffner, MODOT, to discuss the proposed J-Turns at the Hwy 63/Hwy B/Hwy P intersection. Also discussed were the planned improvements to Hwy 63/Hwy Z/Hwy K intersection at Cairo.
Com. Carter called to check in.
1:00 p.m. Coroner Gerald Luntsford stopped in to discuss office operations and the Commission inquired if he had a new nominee for Deputy Coroner.
County Clerk Will Ellis arrived to report on the Missouri Local Area Government Employees Retirement System (LAGERS) rate decreases for 2014.
Commissioners reviewed minutes from December 3, 2013. Following review, Com. Wilcox made a motion to approve payments as presented. Com. Crutchfield seconded and motion passed (2-0).
Com. Wilcox returned a call to Petroleum Traders Corporation to discuss their request to bid on weekly and longer term contracts for county Road and Bridge fuel.
3:25 p.m. Brandon Lucas, Fusion Technologies, stopped in to say hello to the Commission. Also discussed was the upcoming termination of support for Microsoft Windows XP.
Commissioners returned a call to Susan Carter to discuss county operations.
Commissioners handled correspondence.
4:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned.
