RANDOLPH COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
Thursday, February 27, 2014
The Honorable Commission convened at the Huntsville Courthouse with the following present: Susan Carter, Presiding Commissioner; Wayne Wilcox, Eastern District Commissioner; Jerry Crutchfield, Western District Commissioner and Shelby Creed, Deputy Clerk.
11:00 a.m. Com. Carter called the meeting to order and moved approval of the agenda with one addition: Assessor Richard Tregnago will be arriving at 1:30 p.m. to discuss an ongoing tax protest in the county. Com. Crutchfield seconded and motion passed (3-0).
Interim Road and Bridge Supervisor Dale Herron arrived to discuss road maintenance issues. Mr. Herron dropped off pictures of the county roads that are undergoing heavy traffic due to the AmerenUE “Thomas Hill to Adair Construction Project”. Commissioners will discuss repairs to the roads and reimbursement with AmerenUE.
Com. Carter and Com. Wilcox reported on their attendance at the Training for Tomorrow Grant closeout at the MACC Blue Room at 10:00 a.m.
Com. Crutchfield received a call from Michael Codd, AmerenUE, requesting contact information and a copy of the ‘Contractors Construction Road Use Agreement’.
Commissioners reviewed invoices for payment. Following review, Com. Wilcox made a motion to approve payments as presented. Com. Crutchfield seconded, motion passed (3-0), and checks were signed.
11:30 p.m. Commissioners reviewed direct deposit and payroll expenses. Following review, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to approve direct deposits and payments as presented. Com. Wilcox seconded, motion passed (3-0), and checks were signed.
Cody Cross, Fusion Technologies, arrived to discuss the computers in the Commission office.
Christy Kertz, Candidate for Randolph County Presiding Commissioner, stopped in to say hello.
Larry Crutchfield stopped in to say hello to the Commission.
1:40 p.m. Assessor Richard Tregnago arrived to discuss an ongoing tax protest in the county.
Com. Wilcox received a call from Kay Daniels, Court Administrative Assistant, to discuss contracts for legal services for the Juvenile Office renewable annually.
Com. Crutchfield made a motion to reappoint Randolph County Health Department Administrator Ross McKinstry as the County Health Officer pursuant to RSMO 205.100. Com. Wilcox seconded and motion passed (3-0).
Commissioners contacted Randal Weidenaar, Notion Front, to discuss producing an informational video for the proposed county administration building.
2:30 p.m. Kay Daniels, Court Administrative Assistant, arrived to present contracts for legal services for the Juvenile Office renewable annually. Following review, it was determined corrections were needed. Mrs. Daniels will return next week with the amended contracts for review and approval.
Com. Carter contacted Jason Nelson, Mayor of the City of Jacksonville, to schedule a meeting with the Commission concerning the proposed administration building.
Commissioners handled correspondence.
4:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned.
