RANDOLPH COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
Tuesday, January 8, 2013
The Honorable Commission convened at the Huntsville Courthouse with the following present: Wayne Wilcox, Eastern District Commissioner; Jerry Crutchfield, Western District Commissioner; and Shelby Creed, Deputy Clerk.
9:00 a.m. In the absence of Com Carter, Com. Crutchfield acting as Presiding Commissioner, called the meeting to order and moved approval of the agenda. Com. Wilcox seconded and motion passed (2-0).
Commissioners reported on their meeting Monday, January 7, with the City of Cairo to discuss new access to Highway 63.
Commissioners received a call from the Howard County Commissioners to discuss the final 2012 budget for Guardian Ad Litem as well as the 2013 Juvenile office budget.
Com. Crutchfield received a call from Jennifer Wilson, nForm Architecture, to discuss county building needs.
County Clerk Will Ellis arrived to discuss the 2013 waterfall budget.
11:00 a.m. Com. Carter called to check in. While on the phone with Com. Carter, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to appoint Dan Lobina, Director of the Small Business Technology Development Center, to the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC). Com. Wilcox seconded and motion passed (3-0).
Commissioners received a call from Landon Boehm, Piper Jaffray & Co., to discuss the county’s most recent audit.
Shirley Olney, Executive Assistant to the Moberly City Manager, returned a call to Com. Crutchfield who requested use of the Moberly City Hall for a public hearing concerning the 2013 county budget on January 15 at 9:00 a.m. Mrs. Olney confirmed use of the facility at that time.
Com. Crutchfield contacted Moberly Monitor Index to inform them of the public hearings being held on January 15, 2013 at the Moberly City Hall and at the Huntsville Courthouse at 11:00 a.m.
2:00 p.m. Road and Bridge Supervisor Mike Rogers arrived to discuss road maintenance issues. Also discussed was the amount of tonnage of rock used in the county in 2012 and the 2013 budget for the Road and Bridge Department.
Com. Wilcox contacted the Macon County Water District, Boone County Water District #10, and Thomas Hill Water District to set up a meeting to discuss the possibility of their participation in the CodeRED program with Randolph County and the City of Moberly. The meeting was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on January 18, at the EOC in the Moberly Police Department.
4:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned.
