County Commission Minutes

RANDOLPH COUNTY COMMISSION MINUTES
Tuesday, March 4, 2014

The Honorable Commission convened at the Huntsville Courthouse with the following present: Susan Carter, Presiding Commissioner; Jerry Crutchfield, Western District Commissioner and Shelby Creed, Deputy Clerk.

9:00 a.m. Com. Carter called the meeting to order and moved approval of the agenda. Com. Crutchfield seconded and motion passed (2-0).

Interim Road and Bridge Supervisor Dale Herron arrived to discuss road maintenance issues.

Commissioners received a call from Matt Walker, PSB&A, to schedule the ‘Pre Construction Conference’ with Commissioners for Tuesday, April 15.

Commissioners reviewed invoices for payment. Following review, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to approve payments as presented. Com. Carter seconded, motion passed (2-0), and checks were signed.

Commissioners reviewed payroll expenses. Following review, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to approve payments as presented. Com. Carter seconded, motion passed (2-0), and checks were signed.

11:00 a.m. Weekly fuel bid was awarded to Brownfield Oil at 3.248. A bid was received from MFA Oil at 3.530. No bid was received from Wright’s Oil.

11:30 a.m. Com. Carter recessed the regular meeting so Commissioners and County Clerk Will Ellis could attend the Randolph County Council of Social Service Agencies to share information on the proposed county administration building.

12:45 p.m. Commissioners returned to the Huntsville Courthouse and Com. Carter reconvened the regular meeting.

Commissioners reviewed minutes from February 25, 2014. Following review, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to approve these minutes. Com. Carter seconded and motion passed (2-0).

2:00 p.m. Commissioners reviewed minutes from February 27, 2014. Following review, Com. Crutchfield made a motion to approve these minutes. Com. Carter seconded and motion passed (2-0).

Commissioners received a report of a water leak at the Moberly Courthouse. Rick Howard, Maintenance, determined the source of the 1000 gallon leak was a malfunctioning toilet in the jury room and has repaired it.

Commissioners were contacted by an investigator from the Missouri Department of Labor Standards concerning a recent complaint they had received.

Commissioners contacted Attorney Ivan Schraeder to discuss the complaint received from the Missouri Department of Labor Standards.

Commissioners received a call from Jennifer Wilson, nForm Architecture, to discuss the proposed county administration building.

Com. Wilcox called to discuss on the day’s agenda items.

Commissioners handled correspondence.

4:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned.
